This essay by Henry Thoreau was published in 1849. Henry Thoreau was a European American who spoke out against the hypocracy and injustices of many of America's institutions and it's citizens. Like Martin Luther King Jr., Henry Thoreau also understood the power of the "the people's economic" contribution to the state and of course also the right of people to disobey an unjust state. He is not someone we would not normally learn about in school, but his is one of the many voices ignored by those who profit from our own ignorance. Dope analysis to add to your thoughts on the relationship between government and citizen. What Do you think about the HiSTORY? #HenryThoreau #CivilDisobedience #Essay #Audiobook
